Comodo Dragon 20.1.1.0

comodo dragon final

Few would argue to the fact that the Internet has rapidly become the most used communication medium worldwide. That is why the major players on the web browser market strive to offer users faster and stable products and Comodo Dragon makes no exception.

This browser is based on the Chromium technology, thus its appearance is similar to Google Chrome. Just like its more popular relative Comodo Dragon is focused on combining simplicity with functionality, thus the interface is quite minimalistic, displaying only the address bar and the navigation buttons.

Furthermore, it provides users with the all the classic features that Chrome offers, including a bookmark organizer, a download and a password manager, developer tools, as well as extension and theme support. Also, you can create custom profiles for every user and personalize the browser according to one's preferences and needs.

Comodo Dragon offers advanced privacy and security features, considering the growing number of online threats. The browser places a lot of emphasis on the user privacy, so just like Chrome, it allows you to use the Incognito Mode to navigate on the web securely.

You can optionally suppress HTTP referrer header, which restricts websites from knowing where you came from. Also, the cookie and history can be erased after every session, thus ensuring your privacy.

What is specific about Comodo Dragon is the Comodo Secure DNS technology, which you can use to filter malware domains and protect your computer. Malicious websites are automatically detected and blocked, while the browsing is faster due to the use of Comodo DNS servers.

Designed to be simple and easy to use, Comodo Dragon is a fast browsing solution that can be enhanced if the user chooses to install add-ons. Besides the basic browser functionality and features, it offers superior protection options that you can use to make the browsing experience more secure.

Here are some key features of "Comodo Dragon":

· Improved Privacy over Chromium
· Easy SSL Certificate Identification
· Fast Website Access
· Greater Stability and Less Memory Bloat
· Incognito Mode Stops Cookies, Improves Privacy
· Very easy to switch from your Browser to the Dragon

uTorrent

uTorrent

You will be taken to a third-party site to complete your download. Using P2P and file-sharing software to distribute copyrighted material without authorization is illegal in the United States and many other countries. CBS Interactive does not encourage or condone the illegal duplication or distribution of copyrighted content.

uTorrent is small enough to run off a USB key, but powerful enough to download any torrent in a jiffy (if it's got enough seeders), uTorrent 2.0 is easy on the eyes and smart on your network. The memory footprint for uTorrent is very small, and system resources are barely touched. While you're torrenting, you shouldn't be surprised to find that other programs that use your Internet connection slow down, but the latest version of uTorrent has an answer to that. Called uTorrent Protocol, or uTP, it's a built-in throttling that detects network congestion and slows down the torrent until the traffic jam has dissipated.
uTorrent 2.0 includes a transfer cap, so that users who have had limits imposed by their ISPs can keep track and automatically kill torrenting when that limit is reached. Skins have also been introduced, but there's no skins option in Preferences: instead, you must go to the uTorrent site and download and install them yourself. That's unnecessarily irritating.

uTorrent 2.0

The most difficult aspect of using a torrent client is still finding the torrents, but included are both a torrent search bar and a handy RSS feed download function. Subscribe to select feeds, and uTorrent automatically downloads files as they publish. Adding, starting, pausing, and listing torrents takes merely a click each. A speed guide helps you test your ports and adjust system settings for optimal performance, although watch out for the opt-out Ask.com toolbar when you install. Combined with Local Peer Discovery and DHT Network options, and Teredo and Ipv6 support, uTorrent should be the torrent program of choice for novices, intermediate, and advanced users.

uTorrent is a powerful and efficient BitTorrent client for Windows. Most of the features present in other BitTorrent clients are present in uTorrent, including bandwidth prioritization, scheduling, RSS auto-downloading, and Mainline DHT. Additionally, uTorrent supports the protocol encryption joint specification and peer exchange. Unlike many torrent clients, it does not hog valuable system resources--typically using less than 6MB of memory, allowing you to use the computer as if it weren't there at all.

Make sure you make it Download it now..

SRWare Iron Free Browser Download

SRWare Iron

SRWare Iron is a free Web browser from SRWare. It's based on Google's Chromium core, which is the basis of many browsers, including Google's own Chrome. Like Chrome and the others, Iron is super-fast and accepts extensions, themes, and developer tools. What sets it apart is a lack of the Google-centric features that some have criticized for violating users' privacy, such as reporting your browsing habits and suggesting content (and advertising) based on the results.

What makes SRWare Iron different from Chrome is solving some privacy issues. For example, the submission of entries or failure details are not transmitted to Google, like it happens in the case of Chrome. In addition to this, this browser can disable functions such as the URL-Tracker.
Other than that, SRWare Iron is a tool that has been packed with a lot of features designed to offer a pleasant browsing experience. Its looks are very similar to Google Chrome's, since they both stem fromt the same sourcecode (Chromium). Customization can be doen through various themes and colors.

Iron's start page offers quick Web and Image searching and a Quick Access section that let us upload pictures, access Chrome-compatible extensions and themes, rate our home page at a ratings site, view info about our IP address, and even watch funny videos at Epic Fail. Of course, we could customize the view, including the Quick Access links, using the usual Chrome-style options. We could import or export our bookmarks, create application shortcuts, and manage search engines, to name a few. We browsed to some Web sites, which loaded as fast as with other Chromium-based browsers, which is to say about as fast as browsers get nowadays. We saw no functionality issues that seemed to be due to Iron's breaking the umbilical cord to Google HQ, or any functionality issue at all, for that matter. The program installed conventionally and left user data behind in its program folder when we uninstalled it. That's not necessarily a bad thing since many users may prefer to delete such data securely.

Of course, not everyone looks at Google and sees the Borg, but if Chromium's built-in reporting and Web integration raise issues with you, resistance is not futile. You simply need some Iron in your online diet.

free SRWare Iron

SRWare Iron is a Browser, Google's Web browser Chrome thrilled with an extremely fast site rendering, a sleek design and innovative features. But it also gets critic from data protection specialists, for reasons such as creating a unique user ID or the submission of entries to Google to generate suggestions. SRWare Iron is a real alternative. The browser is based on the Chromium-source and offers the same features as Chrome - but without the critical points that the privacy concern.

Apart from the general features such as setting the home page and the default search engine, one of the advantages that SRWare Iron brings to the table is the possibility to create multiple user profiles.
With the help of the Iron Synchronization feature, you can sign in directly with your Google account in order to load your preferred browser settings to the web and access them from any location.

SRWare Iron comes with an integrated password manager, bookmark and history manager that make the browsing experience complete. Furthermore, it includes a task manager, which you can use if a web page does not respond, as well as the option to enable phishing and malware protection.
Nowadays, the Internet is widely used by almost anyone, for entertainment, communication and obtaining information. But it also comes with important threats. SRWare Iron offers speed, but also privacy and malware protection, in order to enrich your browsing experience.

Just Download it to try the new best browser in the future.

Skype

Skype

Popular and preeminent VoIP service Skype has wooed its fair share of people with an itch to ditch the landline and an Internet connection, especially those with international contacts. With its latest update to version 5, the company hopes to win over even more customers and keeping the current ones happy. Skype 5.0 features a streamlined interface, Facebok integration, and videoconferencing functionality.

First, Skype tackled the overall user experience of the software. The new Home page integrates a feed of mood messages from your contacts and yourself, and it offers a variety of tutorials to help you use the various features of the service, from making a video call to signing up for a subscription. The company also aimed to simplify the overall interface in order to make calling, messaging, screen sharing, and file transferring more intuitive and easier to navigate. In addition, the contact search screen now features images and mood messages and offers real-time results.

Skype

Skype is also offering a new group-video-calling feature. According to company data, about 40 percent of all Skype-to-Skype minutes were used on video calling. The logical step was to provide a feature that allowed users to chat with more than just one other person. Anyone who downloads version 5 will have a chance to test out the new functionality for free, though it will be a paid extra down the line.
The videoconferencing feature offers a few viewing options. One is the typical side-by-side screen with participants lined up in equal sizes. Then there's the more interesting dynamic view, which increases the size of the person doing most of the talking at any given moment. We got to check this out in a live demo and can see how it would be particularly useful for business calls.

The group video screen also prominently displays the relevant controls along the bottom, as well as a meter that measures call quality. Skype has added a call quality manager that gauges audio and video quality during calls. Automatic call recovery is another new feature that helps users quickly reconnect calls that are interrupted because of Internet connection problems.
Last but not least, Skype now has Facebook integrated seamlessly into the interface. A tab along the top of the screen will take you into your news feed, where you can update your status as well as start Skype calls with various contacts.

Skype is software that enables you to make free calls anywhere in the world. Skype uses P2P (peer-to-peer) technology to connect you with other users. It offers several features, including SkypeOut calling from Skype to regular and mobile phones worldwide, conference calling, and secure file transferring. You can also now share your screen with other users. Skype calls focus on video and audio quality, and secure the calls with end-to-end encryption.
What's new in this version:
  • Full HD video calling
  • Support for Facebook audio and video calls
  • Group screen sharing
  • Hide offline Facebook contacts
  • Push to Talk

Camfrog Video Chat

Camfrog Video Chat

Camfrog Video Chat, If you're sick of hopping from one chatware program to another, looking for the perfect mix of video, audio, and text socializing, CamFrog might be what you're looking for.
The chat rooms feature everything from music lessons to sign language to non-English chatting, and integrating video, audio, and text components are a great leap forward for chat communities since a Webcam is not a requirement. Be warned, though: There's also a slew of X-rated chat rooms--this is not a program that kids should use without supervision.

The interface should be familiar to anyone who has used any messaging software. You can create your own chat room and password-protect it, and the Contacts list has a section for favorite rooms and one-click contact adding, user searching, and profile management. New in Version 5 is high-resolution video support, interface tweaks, and the ability to send little "virtual gifts" to both friends and anonymous recipients that borders on the annoying.
Cautious users should note that the install includes several toolbars and a Weather Channel widget, which you can opt out of. Despite those drawbacks, if you're looking for a well-trafficked video chat program that serves a diverse community, CamFrog is cool place to land.

Camfrog Video Chat allows you to join real streaming video chat rooms where you can hear, see, and chat with many people at a time. It is videoconferencing software works behind most firewalls and routers. Camfrog Video Chat allows multi-user videoconferencing where you can join a room with up to 1000 users and just click a user name to begin seeing someone. Press the 'talk' button to talk to the entire room with audio. The video chat rooms are hosted by broadband users who are running the Camfrog Video Chat Room Server software so any user can set up their own multi-user video conference for other users to join.
What's new in this version: Version 6.2 includes group operations in the contact list.

Just like its name suggests, Camfrog Video Chat is specifically designed to allow users to interact with other people, thus its strong points focus on advanced chatting and video functions as well as streamlined high quality audio and video broadcast. This chat tool is flagged as Ad-supported on Softpedia as a result of its bundled third-party software. You are also required to register at the end of it in case you don't posses a registered user.

Camfrog Video Chat Pro

The main window, which is actually the contact list, looks just like the one we’ve seen in instant messaging tools such as the ones developed by Yahoo or Microsoft. If you wish, you can connect to video chat rooms where you can meet new people and discuss in a very organized environment.

Camfrog Video Chat works pretty easy and its simple and intuitive interface makes the whole thing a lot easier. You don’t need a super computer to run it, but keep in mind that you’ll most likely need a webcam as many chat rooms require users such a piece of hardware in order to be allowed to join the chat.

Camfrog Video Chat provides users with some nifty features such as the ability to start their own video chat rooms or take part in multi-user videoconferences. The webcam chat software doesn't really stand out of the crowd, but it surely brings the right tools in its bag. If you ever find yourself in need of meeting new people, Camfrog Video Chat will provide the environment for that.

Adobe Flash Player

Adobe Flash Player

Flash Player 11 brings hardware-accelerated graphics support to the platform. There should be no doubt that Apple's decision to block Flash from iOS in favor of HTML5 has spurred Adobe to make sure that its media-rich content-building tool and player Flash remains competitive.
According to Adobe, the new Stage3D technology in the new Flash Player brings combined 2D and 3D acceleration that is up to 1,000 times faster than the previous Flash iterations. While currently Stage3D is supported only for personal computers, it should make its way to mobile devices in future Flash releases. The advancements offered by Stage3D should bring far more complex graphics development for the player, and allow some developers to use it as a viable alternative for their projects, especially for cross-platform efforts.
In addition to accelerated graphics, Flash Player 11 now is natively in 64-bit code on all supported platforms, which will allow it to better integrate with browsers and plug-ins that are coded in 64-bit. This along with a slew of new enhancements for developers in terms of security improvements, media handling, and better JavaScript integration will enhance the player's use for future development. Flash also comes baked into Google Chrome, and therefore the Chrome OS that powers Google's Chromebooks.

Adobe Flash Player is a client runtime that delivers high-quality content to your computer and it works with virtually all browsers out there. Flash Player remains a key element of the Internet and has now evolved to conquer every operating system, every browser, and every portable device, including mobile phones and tablets. There's no interface, but users still get some tiny windows through which they can customize a set of options, including hardware acceleration for better performance and privacy preferences.

With the Adobe Flash Player runtime installed, you will be able to access streaming content of the highest quality and smoothly play HD videos right inside your browser's window. The best thing of all is that Flash Player works with most popular browsers out there, including Internet Explorer 6.0 and above, Mozilla Firefox 3.0 and above, Google Chrome, Safari 4.0 and above and Opera 9.5 and above.

Adobe Flash Player 11

Hardware requirements should be met by any modern computer, although some old workstations might encounter some performance issues while accessing websites built exclusively in Flash or during the playback of large, high-quality Flash movies. This client runtime manages to bring high-quality content directly on your computer without requiring any interaction. An important part of the World Wide Web relies on Adobe Flash Player, so this is clearly a must-have utility for every fresh copy of Windows.

Mac users take note: Flash requires OS X 10.6 or later running on an Intel platform since Adobe removed support for PowerPC Macs in Flash 10.
Although it's possible that HTML5 will at some point unseat Flash as the dominant code for media on the Web, that won't happen for a while yet since HTML5 standards haven't even been finalized. The Flash Player is a must if you want to experience the Web at its fullest, so users at any level of expertise should have no qualms about installing or upgrading.

Flash Player 11 is a lightweight, highly expressive client runtime that delivers powerful and consistent user experiences across major operating systems, browsers, mobile phones, and devices. Adobe Flash Player software is a cross-platform browser plug-in that delivers breakthrough web experiences and is installed on more than 98% of Internet-connected desktops. Adobe Flash Player 11 explores a new architecture for high-performance 2D/3D GPU hardware accelerated graphics rendering by Adobe, which provides low-level Stage3D APIs for advanced rendering in apps and gives framework developers classes of interactive experiences. Flash Player is optimized for high performance on mobile screens and designed to take advantage of native device capabilities, enabling richer and more immersive user experiences.

GOM Media Player

GOM Media Player

GOM Media Player as a various media players jockey for position to become your default setting for music and video streams, GOM Media Player's support for a wide range of file formats has helped it stand out as a firm favorite. Supported formats include DAT, MPEG, DivX, XviD, WMV, ASF, AVI, and MOV, as are common codecs like FLV1, AC3, OGG, MP4, and H263. A pop-out playlist can save and organize your various media files, though the limited sort modes--two--hardly makes it a champ.

More impressive are the customizable settings on the control panel. Here you can adjust a video's image brightness, hue, and saturation. There's no preview window, and changes occur as the video runs, so unless you care for a rousing session of trial and error, be sure to tweak the settings after clicking "play." There's also a built-in screen-capture feature that includes zooming and panning, customizable themes, hot keys, and a host of preset and adjustable audio controls.

GOM Media Player option

GOM Media Player is weakest when you're looking for help documentation and trying to tweak Save settings, but overall it's a very strong player worth at least a supporting role in your video-watching habits, if not the lead. Its not too bad if you cimpare with Free VLC Media Player.

Its other features include drag-and-drop support, HTTP streaming, editable skins, subtitling, overlay mixer, key remapping, enhanced filter rendering, real-time index rebuilding for AVI files and unicode support among others.

Google Chrome is the Fastest Browser

Google Chrome

Google Chrome has matured from a lightweight and fast browsing alternative into an innovative, standard-bearing browser that people love. It's powerful enough to drive its own operating system, Chrome OS. The browser that people can use today, Chrome 18, offers highly competitive features, including synchronization, autofill, and standards compliance, and maintains Google's reputation for building one of the fastest browsers available.
Google's browser is one of the fastest and most standards-compliant browsers available. It lacks some of the fine-tuning you'll find in Firefox, but from the minimalist interface to support for future-Web tech like Native Client and HTML5, the browser is a must.

Chrome 18 represents a major milestone for the browser, but those expecting to see dramatic changes in major-point updates will be disappointed. For a while now, Google has been pushing features over what it calls milestone numbers in a rapid-release cycle, which means that as soon as new features are usable in the beta version of Chrome, Google will likely push them to all users in the stable edition.
Chrome 18 brings the advanced graphics support of WebGL and Canvas2D to older Windows and Mac computers. Unfortunately, the improvements do not apply to Linux.
Please note that there are at least four versions of Chrome available at the moment, and this review only addresses the "stable" branch, intended for general use.

Google's Chrome interface has changed remarkably little since its surprise debut in September 2008. Tabs are still on top, the location bar (aka Omnibox) dominates the minimalist design, and the browser has few visible control buttons besides Back, Forward, and a combined Stop/Reload button. Although some users may not like having the tabs on top, we find it to be aesthetically preferable because it leaves more room below for the Web site we're looking at.
One change has been to remove the secondary Page Options button and combine it with the Preferences wrench icon to create space for extension icons to the right of the location bar. As it currently stands, it could be better organized. Some controls, such as page zoom, are readily available. Others, such as the extension manager, are hidden away under a Tools submenu.

Google Chrome is the Fastest Browser

Chrome's extensions are fairly limited in how they can alter the browser's interface. Unlike Firefox, which gives add-on makers a lot of leeway in changing the browser's look, Chrome mandates that extensions appear only as icons to the right of the location bar. The benefit is that this maintains a uniform look to the browser, but it definitely limits how much the browser can be customized. Chrome doesn't support sidebars, either, although other Chromium-based browsers (such as Comodo Dragon) do offer the feature. There is an option in Chrome's about:flags, a series of experimental features, that lets you move the tabs to a sidebar.

Chrome 18's features are accessible from the Preferences menu via the wrench icon on the right side of the navigation bar. It offers a complete range of modern browsing conveniences. The basics are well-represented, including tabbed browsing, new window creation, and a private browsing mode that Google calls Incognito, which disables cookie tracking, history recording, extension support, and other browsing breadcrumbs.
Chrome is based on WebKit, the same open-source engine that powers Apple Safari, Google's Android mobile platform, and several other desktop and mobile Web-browsing tools. However, Chrome runs on a different JavaScript engine than its WebKit cousins, and there are other changes as well.

Based on the open-source WebKit engine and Google's V8 JavaScript engine, Google Chrome debuted to much fanfare because of its rocketing rendering speeds. More than three years down the line, that hasn't changed, and the stable version of Chrome remains one of the fastest stable browsers available. The less stable versions, with their more recent improvements and bug fixes, are often faster.

It's hard to tell which is faster, user adoption of Chrome or its development. Certainly the two are linked, and due in no small part to Google's Ability to lay claim to the "fastest browser" title, even when it may not be strictly justified. The rest of Chrome's appeal lies in its clean, minimalist look, and competitive features that justify its still-increasing market share. Chrome is a serious option for anybody who wants a browser that gets out of the way of browsing the Web.

PhotoScape

Photoscape

PhotoScape, Although it eats and leaks about as much memory as Firefox, this editor is perfect for those making the jump between JPEG and am-pro dSLR work.
It supports RAW, as well as all other major image formats from JPEG and PNG to animated GIFs. It comes with prebuilt templates for users to create photo collages, fumetti, and Web comics, and has a standard set of red-eye removal, light/shadow, and contrast-editing features. One warning about the RAW processing: although it looks like you can drag and drop, the converter doesn't change RAW to JPEG unless you load the RAW file from within the native file navigator. It's a minor bug, but one that can lead you to believe that there's no RAW support at all. You can also batch edit images, combine them, and print them out one at a time or several at once.

PhotoScape belongs to this category, bundled with the most common image manipulation tools, while preserving a fun and accessible environment. In terms of functionality, the application performs regular photo enhancements, such as resizing, graphic effects, crop, printing and GIF animations. Most image editors can’t compete with the sharks in the image editing category. As a consequence, they prefer to pack the basic features without sacrificing ease of use, which results in a large crowd of fans.

The first encounter with PhotoScape is pleasant to say the least. The menu is structured in a circle with animated icons that stand for different modules. These include a viewer, editor, batch editor, page creator, image combiner, GIF animation, printer, splitter, screen capture, color picker, RAW converter, photo renamer, and paper print. All these titles are at least self-explanatory.

Photoscape 3.61

In addition, you can develop photographs from an online studio, and find similar faces on the Internet (including but not limited to celebrities). So, here's what you can do: combine photos to create a single one, slice an image into several pieces, capture a screenshot (which is no different from Print Screen), batch edit a bunch of photos, use the editor to create special effects (e.g. red eye correction, mole removal, paint brush), and several others.

PhotoScape is fun to work with although it doesn’t bring outstanding or unseen features to the table (except the face search feature). You can spend quality time with it when you need to make small changes and don't want to burden yourself with heavier software. It’s recommended especially for beginners, but professionals can still rely on it for some of the most basic image editing capabilities.

PhotoScape loads fast and possesses an interface completely different from those familiar with Adobe's industry-leading tools. Users are greeted by circular navigator complemented by a tabbed nav on the top of the main screen. Most but not all main features are accessible from either nav. It might take some people time to get used to the unusual layout, but it's only unusual for an image editor; otherwise it's intuitive, fast, and lacks only the most advanced of image editing features.

PhotoScape is an all-in-one style photo editor with fun and ease of use. Major capabilities are: viewer, editor, batch editor, page, combine, animated GIF, print, splitter, screen capture, color picker, rename, raw converter, resizing, brightness/color/white-balance adjustment, backlight correction, frames, balloons, text, drawing pictures, cropping, filters, red eye removal and blooming. PhotoScape has been used for two years and is expanding its features continuously.
What's new in this version: Version 3.6 improves 'Full Screen' and 'Slide Show' features. 'Screen Capture' feature improved and bugs fixed. Windows Vista/7 Library Folder supported. Photos can now be rotated using the Batch Editor Tab.

You can Downnload it if you want to try it now.

IrfanView Photo Editor

IrfanView

IrfanView is image viewer and editor is a longtime favorite among our staff, and with good reason. IrfanView is simple, fast, and free for individual use. Upon installation, the app attempts to install two Google programs, but you can opt out.

IrfanView lets you open and edit images, as well as multiple media formats. You can cut and crop images, apply batch conversions, add, sharpen, or blur effects, create panoramas, and change color modes easily. The program continues to add support for an array of file formats and has plug-in support for most image, video, and sound formats, including MP3, AVI, audio CD, and WMA. The interface is far from fancy but should be easy enough for most users to figure out. An IrfanView Thumbnails shortcut on the desktop offers an Explorer-like file tree that quickly displays all images in a particular folder. The latest version includes a basic drawing palette made accessible by hitting F12. It contains simple Erase, Draw, Fill, Rotate, Draw an Arrow, and Color Picker commands, perfect for grabbing screenshots and highlighting image specifics.

Irfan View

Windows Photo Viewer is an excellent application for all those who want just that, open their pictures without any additional function. However, there are numerous third-party applications that can successfully replace this Windows tool, and some of them are bound to become indispensable once they are tested – such as IrfanView.

Installing IrfanView might seem a bit difficult because it prompts the user to choose the files they want the application to handle, so in case they just wish to use it as the backup solution, they need to uncheck them all. Also, care needs to be taken when dealing with the offered toolbar unrelated to the software's functionality. At first glance, the interface seems simplistic, leaving plenty of room for the actual displayed image and only presenting a few buttons for the basic actions. Nonetheless, the menus fully compensate for this simple appearance, since each of them comes with a large array of options.

When it comes to its main function, image viewing, this tool can open almost any format out there while still enabling easy photo browsing. As a side note, IrfanView can be enhanced with third-party plugins so as to support virtually all graphic formats one could think of. Despite its name, IrfanView can also do conversion and resize on the go, with the batch features proving to be both fast and efficient. In other words, one can rename, convert, resize, crop and change color depth of several images with only a few mouse clicks.

IrfanView has a very rich Settings window, which means users can change almost every single option the app packs, not to mention that it comes with multi-language support for easier use. The software can be integrated within Windows' context menu to enjoy its features in a seamless way. All things considered, IrfanView is one of the best solutions one could find when it comes to handling photos, editing them, taking screenshots, viewing multi-page images, making panoramas or creating slideshows. And, probably the most important thing, it is free for personal use.

Advanced SystemCare Free

Advanced SystemCare Free

Advanced SystemCare Free 5 uses its powerful arsenal of optimization tools to keep your PC feeling fresh and clean. It also includes a couple of features that could help boost performance for either gaming or work purposes--your choice.
Advanced SystemCare's Quick Care option includes the ability to clean your registry, perform a rudimentary malware scan, fix and remove broken shortcuts, delete junk files, and erase browsing tracks. It works in a flash, requires almost no user input, and to make things even easier, can be configured to run on system startup.

The Deep Care option, on the other hand, takes system care to another level. It performs all of the Quick Care items to a much deeper degree, plus it adds several other scans and fixes to its checklist, including disk defragmenting, a Windows vulnerability fix, and a system optimization with several presets. Understandably, this kind of deep digging can sometimes make a user nervous. Fortunately, the program's log records all of its activities, letting you see how each affects your computer.
Scan times for the Quick Care and Deep Care options differ significantly, yet, both processes still seem blazingly fast. For instance, we completed a Deep Care scan in approximately 15 minutes, which is an impressively short time for a system-invasive program like this.

Brand-new to version 5 is the Active Boost function, which runs in the background and automatically improves PC performance by managing your system resources. We recommend enabling it, as it even keeps a log of all the active processes that it manages to speed up. Also important, Version 5 connects to the cloud in order to keep its database up to date.

Advanced SystemCare Free 5

As for Advanced SystemCare's user interface, we were impressed, to say the least. The main dashboard is superclean, with nifty icons and intuitive navigation. Plus, there's an unimposing smiley face always at the bottom of the screen, indicating your PC's overall health. If you click the Status button next to the smiley, you can also get more detailed info from the system performance monitor.
One part of the program we recommend new users approach with extreme caution is the Turbo Boost, which can be set to optimize for either gaming or work purposes. It sounds fun, but you must first configure the tool by telling it which core system services to disable in order to accelerate your computer's performance. Since the Turbo Boost section doesn't spell out how disabling these services might affect your computer, we highly recommend doing your research before exploring. To its credit, though, Advanced SystemCare can create rescue points, so it's not hard to undo changes if you end up making any mistakes.

One small problem we found was that some of the program's options open in new windows, while others open in the same window. Those in the same window have convenient back-navigation buttons in the upper left; those in new windows are sometimes overlaid directly on top of the previous window and make it hard to see how to return to the previous screen. Also, we were a bit turned off by the cleverly disguised ad for Roboform Password Manager during installation. It looks a bit like a terms-of-service sheet, so be sure to read carefully before your instincts kick in and you automatically click Accept.
Overall, we love Advanced SystemCare's toolset, performance, and convenience. Sure, we wish the program were more explicit about how it changes your computer, but we still think it's an awesome all-in-one system utility, and we highly recommend downloading it.
